fork by summerfield

fork

some things are fortuitous. had dimsum with some friends today. connie asked for a fork. ask and thy shall receive, right? yes.

this was the fork the waitress gave her. connie was pissed. everybody laughed. she called the waitress and started to complain. waitress was doubly pissed, i mean, the restaurant's busy, and was in the act of taking the fork. i swooped it out of her hand. friends asked "you're not going to use that, are you?"

i told the waitress, 'me want this fork, get one more for her'. i motioned to the kitchen with my puckered lips, the asian way. waitress walked away, visibly pissed.

"this, my friends, is my photo of the day!"

"oh, for god's sakes! everything is photo of the day."

waitress came back with four forks, all normal. she was horrified i was taking photos while the rest was eating with their chopsticks.

"why you take kodak of fork?" everyone bursted out laughing, some chewed pieces of dimsum might have landed in someone's plate, but i was thankful my camera was spared.

i held the fork up. "because it's beautiful! i like to kodak anything that's beautiful!"

more laughing, someone choked, and i had to put away my camera before morsels of chewed dimsum landed on it. waitress was not amused.

(sooc except for the crop and name tag; the colour is this way because i forgot to adjust the light setting on my 'kodak'.)
I cant believe someone would bring something like that to a table. I would have to give her the same tip for the service you received.

Sometimes a photo op just falls into your lap! (or on your table.) lol You're quick, summerfield. Your mind and your eye for photos are sharp as a tack. You made me smile tonight and I needed that. Great photo . . the lighting is perfect.

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! I spent 30 minutes photographing all the different forks in my house today. Thankfully my husband was not home while I was doing it, otherwise he would have said, "What are you doing NOW???"

@karenann - as i've said sometime ago, as long as it's not obscene, it's fair game to me and my camera. thank you, karenann. so glad i can make you smile.
