This is not the best photo I've ever taken but it's my favourite one of the whole weekend. I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've seen a Kingfisher in my whole life and I've never seen one stay still. I blame excitement for the inability to focus properly.
He's beautiful! Congrats on getting such a clear photo ...I am working to get a photo of a kingfisher soon, and hope that I too will be able to hold the camera steady when it happens!
There are a lot of kingfishers in NZ but they are always too far away for me to get a decent shot.
