I know this was a young nuthatch for two reasons, firstly it's colouring is much paler than an adult but secondly it's behavour - it spent ages on the nut feeder and hopped between the seed feeder and the nut feeder several times. The adults never hang around for long, they land, get a quick mouthful and leave, usually before I've had a chance to grab my camera.
