Like a people shot, and I believe you are saying the you and Junko make good sous chefs. I am following you all and making the time for it this weekend. (Have to go into work both weekend days as it is fiscal year end). One of the things I didn't talk about in my trip and more or less let people believe it was "the blue" or the smoke affect but was really pollution and you see it all along the mountains as I drove down and that is a sad thing to realize. Have you noticed it or is it colder and less noticeable.
I'm enjoying reviewing your Smoky Mountains shots! From the looks of it, you all had fun together and the photos are wonderful. Are you still coming to So Cal in November?
@redy4et Thanks Elizabeth! Yes, we're having a great time. Daryl is a terrific cook as well as wonderful photographer, so we are enjoying all kinds of time together. Yes, I'll be in Carlsbad, at the Costa something resort the week after Thanksgiving (Wed - Saturday), so not long...
@joansmor You're exactly right! It's a role we love. Interesting to read your comments about the pollution. We've had such crystal clear skies, and then today, totally socked in.
@taffy We had sunny skies most of the time but the distant mountains were always in "haze" and if you talk to those in the know this isn't "smoke" it is pollution. They are studying the effects of this in The Skyline Park in Va. When I go to the White Mountains I experience the same thing. I stop and take a picture often at this one spot on the there and when I was a child the shot would have been crystal clear and today it never is not even on the coldest day. Pollution moves across the country and is caught in the mountains on the East Coast and we saw it all the way down. It is so said.
