It Itches! by taffy

It Itches!

What a wonderful day to find out I had two photos on the TT list today -- thank you thank you thank you! It really is just amazing to me, given where I was last year at this time, especially! I've learned so much!
I'm enjoying the warm weather in FL and not spending much time on my computer so apologies for not commenting. It's all I can do to post. Massive fail on the sunrise at the pier shot from this morning, but had some other fun opportunities. I took this one from a boat trip from Amelia Island across the sound and along the coast of Cumberland Island - a private island that was owned almost entirely by the Carnegie family. There were several spots where there were still active piers as some of the family maintain vacation homes there, and one of the mansions has been converted to a high-end hotel (John Kennedy, Jr was married there, a favorite place from his childhood). I think this is a cormorant.
AND it is my LAST bw for the month. Two months of b&w...I'm ready for something less restrictive but what a learning curve!

Fav, because it is so difficult to get the pattern on the black feather showing. It is going to be my benchmark next time when I get this bird.

Congratulations, as usual, on another well deserved TT domination! :-))) This is a great bird shot, and I love the selective coloring on the beak! Is this bird really that dark....gorgeous sheen!

@rvwalker @nicoleterheide Thanks for noticing and commenting on the selective color. I wondered if that would add or distract in the image.
