A change of pace...one of the reasons we are back in Chicago is our grandson graduated from 8th grade and the ceremony was tonight. Many impressive things from the evening, but this has to be up there as #1. He decided a bow tie was what he wanted to wear, so his dad ordered one (not the clip on, a real one). He taught himself using video tutorials to tie it and here's the evidence of his success. I think it is quite cool that this southpaw pitcher -- and talented academic -- had the confidence to be the only one in a bow tie and that he could take such pride in having mastered the tying of it!
I love the bow tie and the knowledge that he taught himself to tie it. What a lovely young man he sounds. I love it when kids develop their individuality. So many of them follow the herd. Congratulations to him. Fav
What a great shot and story about him and his bow tie. I love it, dare to do what you want to in this life and learn during the process. Good for him. Congratulations to your grandson. FAV
Love your pov for this shot! Showing your grandson's individuality as well as his talent in tying the bow himself! Congratulations to him on his graduation! You must be very proud!
@cazla Thanks so much! My stepson is his dad, BUT, I still would be old enough to have a grandson that age so I do appreciate your comment about my profile photo!

Lovely shot and congrats to him for graduating! I love that he chose the bow tie and I like the different fabric textures in this shot.
