Multitasking Bees by taffy

Multitasking Bees

The pollen was clearly a big draw for this pair. I tried capturing them with my macro, with as much detail as possible, but mostly they were so covered in yellow pollen that this was the best I could do. Converted to b&w as the color ofthe flower, pollen, and background felt distracting. Wishing I'd had my lensbaby wtih me as I suspect this would have been better with just the bees in focus.
Great focus and contrast.

Wow, what a great capture, Taffy. Love the detail and your use of B&W. FAV I had two very tiny spiders on my bathroom sink tonight in their webs but no way to take a macro of them. Had to get rid of them unfortunately.

No, see the can work and seek their pleasure at the same time. I thought for a moment you had a new bug.

It worked well in B&W. your right, in color all that pollen around them would be distracting.

Glad you toned this down to b/w...there may be children seeing this. Haha. Great shot. Oddly they don't look like bees.

I love Kathie's comment. Ha, ha. Seriously though, it's an amazing macro.

Really like how you have shot this one and it works in black and white. I always find yellow a difficult colour to get right.

Super focus too, fav

I like this edit. I’m not an insect fan, but this is fav-able! :-)
I like that you thought of the Lensbaby as an alternative. There are two macro lens attachments available, actually; they fit into the optics and should also work with the Muse and the Spark.
