I love hay bales and have wanted to photograph one/them for ages. Driving home from town, I noticed one of the inland farms had harvested the hay and it was filled with bales. But it was the wrong time of day for that gorgeous golden look that I really love. So instead, practiced with some processing software and liked how this one came out.

Very interesting effect - negative film? Or IR? Probably something completely different!
I saw some hay bales myself this very morning...thought I might get back to them during the weekend...
@ericdibosco I processed it first as b&w using Silver efex. Then, imported it into Color efex and used the orange filter twice, first for the sky (but made very transparent), then for the ground, doing the same, til I had the balance and light tone the way I imagined. It was fun!
