Meiji-Jingu Temple area, processed with polarizing filter after HDR processed using 3 bracketed shots. These trees were so surreally huge and round, they seemed to require some unusual processing.
It seems like both of us are on radical processing today! This is a beautiful scene and I really like the symmetry here. The inclusion of the human figures are needed for scale, but I guess they would have been impossible to exclude anyway!
I have to ask-do you understand all the processing that you just know what to or do you play around until you find something you like. I've wanted to try some things but just never quite know where to start.
@joansmor Joan, how I end up using processing is now a combination. Sometimes, I see a scene and have in mind how I'd want to use it post processing -- for a range of things from b&w to more surreal looking processing. Other times, I had something in mind when I took the image, but it didn't turn out as I'd hoped, so I play around in post processing if I have time as that's a good way for me to learn new possibilities.
I like the composition and processing. The lead in lines from the bottom of the frame and the increasing darkness at the top of the frame make the go to the distance which is then strongly reinforced by the power of the trees.,
