I'm Professor Percival Penguin (named after the penguin in the book called in "The Ongoing Adventures of Rocket Llama" as suggested by @maggiemae yesterday), or P3 for short (or P-cubed for you mathematicians out there). After a harrowing but exciting journey, I arrived at Taffy's house in time to surprise her -- she was out for a bit this morning. By then I'd already met Big Danbo and Little Danbo. Big Danbo got out some great books on Chicago -- restaurants, buildings, landmarks, things to do -- and after we'd looked through them, I have to say I'm so psyched to be here. What a GREAT place to live! And Little Danbo and I have a lot in common besides just our size - we're going to have some great times together. Big Danbo's really helpful but sort of bossy and professorial (meaning sort of boring when he's lecturing us). But I think we can get him into some good adventures -- he talks as though he's done some pretty cool things already while he's been here.
Oh, and Taffy seemed pretty happy about this doctor she had visited. He gave her a shot that hurt a lot at the time but now her knee is moving the way it is supposed to and they won't do any surgery for a LONG time. She told me that if it stops hurting completely, she'd going to take me 'up to the roof' which is apparently a good thing. She said it may only be a day or two til we can do this.
So we are all very happy right now even though she's about to leave us again to go teach (I hope for her students' sake, she's not as boring as Big Danbo can be). I also hope we get to play together later tonight! But I could use a rest now anyway...what an exciting few days it's been.
What a cool story.....so Meeeeeester Penguin made it to Chicago!! I am sure he will be missing his family, but the wonderful adventures in a big city should keep him occupied for a long time. Glad he has made some new friends. I hope Taffy doesn't drop him from the roof....that would be a long jump!
I can't wait to hear more of these interesting adventures coming up but the penguin . Glad to hear it all it took was a shot to get your knee feeling better. Hope you'll be good as new before long
So pleased Mr Penguin arrived safely - I am sure he will be very happy in his new home especially with his new friends. Tell him to be careful up on that roof - no time for games!!
Good news about your knee Taffy - hope you continue to make progress with it.
@northy I left him hanging out with Little Danbo -- who I picked up in Japan and wish I'd brought back a few of them. The kids there clip them to their backpacks (which is why you see that weird thing on his head). He's literally the same size as P3. P3 will write as soon as we have a good adventure somewhere! Thinking of a safari if I can pull it off...
I love your story and the picture! It caught my eye and suddenly I transferred in the amazing world of danboos and cubed penguins! I completely forgot that I'm sitting on my boring work for whole 5 minutes! Thank you! :)
Not only are you an amazing photographer but your story telling is intriguing too. I love Danbo pictures and look forward to the ones you're going to share with us. Good news about your knee!! Yeaaa!
I am so glad that you only required a shot for your knee and hope it does not end up surgically fixed for any reason. Love your story. You are quite the writer with a great sense of humor. Love your photo.

(Do you really have a Danbo that small?)
Cute little newcomer Taffy- I guess you will have to bring him to class one day to prove you are not as boring as Big Danbo!! haha
Welcome to 365 P3!
