Decided to walk to the dentist today and look for opportunities to play with fish-eye again. Great fun. This is the Lyric Opera's front portico. Color version is in my main album - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2015-03-02
After look at both versions, I do prefer the color, although both are fantastic. The color just adds that touch of warmth with the lighting. I would like to get a fish-eye lens. Looks like fun!
@lesip Which one did you buy? Is your camera a DX or FX? I've been looking for one for an FX and haven't found it yet. I have a 14-24 so was looking for something at 8 - 10. This one has been so much fun to use!
I have a DX and a new FX camera. Here's what I got to start with. It says it works with both. Was pretty cheap but got good reviews. I'll let you know and I'm sure I'll post some shots when it arrives. Opteka 6.5mm f/3.5 HD Aspherical Fisheye Lens
@lesip Thanks! That looks like a great option. From what I could tell, it works as an fx lens does. Is that your sense too? The one I'm borrowing I need to change my settings so that my fx (D610) uses the dx frame size. I'd really like to get one that takes advantage of full-frame. I'll be interested to see how you like yours and if the manual operation is any drawback. It doesn't seem like it should be. Congrats on the purchase!
