Late afternoon warnings of the storm to come. The city looked so vulnerable to me as I looked west at the approaching lightening (which I couldn't catch on camera) and rain. Fortunately, all we ended up with was a bunch of rain and some morning fog.

Wonderful capture. So strange to not see any mountains on the horizon. My son once dated a girl from Iowa. When she came to visit I asked her how she liked Oregon. She said "well, it's pretty, but I feel so closed in. I'm used to wide open spaces."
interesting that a cloud can overpower and make even Chicago seem small and vulnerable. Liam said when he was young that he like to go out and sit on the trampoline so he could look at the sky and remember that he was small.
