No need to comment at all on these. I thought it might be interesting to post these for those who haven't seen Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. There are actually two connected sets of falls as you see above and they are pretty gigantic - each about the same size. The one on the left side above is quite straight and falls onto the icy rocks. The one on the right is a long elegant curve. So this is standing in Canada looking across the river to the US where the Falls are located. Marnie, I hope this fits the bill! @golftragic
This shot, posted on Saturday - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2016-03-06 - shows what it looks like from the US side looking up toward the curved falls in the distance.
As with the comments I received today about seeing Africa through different eyes, your pics show a different side to the quintessential pics of the falls. Thanks for posting.
Two great images, I have seen Niagara once but certainly not all iced up as it is now and I didn't fully appreciate that there were two sets of falls. I will obviously have to go back and see them again!
Well, I haven't seen Niagara at all, it is on our bucket list (more mine than his as he has been on business a couple of times). Love the force of water and the power you have captured, makes an interesting collage Taffy.
@dibzgreasley It is interesting to challenge ourselves to photograph iconic places in other than typical ways. Thanks for the kind comment (as always!).
Taffy, thank you so much. These falls are such a spectacular sight, and I had no idea they were so extensive, nor that parts got frozen in winter. Put the latter to my inexperience with colder climates, and the former to sheer ignorance. I'd love to see these falls, but the Aussie $ will have to get a lot stronger.
Great wide pano's.
