The number of women marching today in Chicago numbered over 300,000. I met @ukandie1 for the dual purpose of marching in solidarity with so many women with whom I share concerns, and putting my lensbaby to use.
Andie's shot for today: http://365project.org/ukandie1/365/2018-01-20
Good that you were out there marching. I applaud.
You captured this really well - I hadn't thought about the benefits that lensbaby would bring in photographing people and keeping their identity hidden.
Gotta fave this shot both for the photo itself and the reasons you were there. Solidarity expressed in this manner is so impowering and visually newsworthy to further the cause/s. Just wish I could've been there to march with you two. I'm reading Fire and Fury at the moment, no wonder The Orange Donald wanted it banned.
I really like the use of the lensbaby here. Another fav. I didn't attend a march but admire those who did and draw inspiration from them. And it came to me during the day that there IS something I can do to make a (small) difference--volunteer with a local group that has been helping immigrants and refugees for years.
@eudora Your response is really moving. It felt great to be a part of the march and to see so many women making a difference. Many more running for office this year too.
I love your use of the lensbaby here Taffy - the first time I can appreciate its use! Well done to you and Andie - you have both told the story really well! Fav!
Love this one and the lens baby worked perfectly here although it couldn't have been easy with all the movement and the size of the crowd the capture it.

An impressive number of women on the march, it must have been quite an uplifting experience.
