A Study of Contrasts

The monarch was flitting about and I wanted to capture it in flight. Unfortunately, its flitting was around this sad carcass rather than the prettier flowers nearby. Posted to extras with the more conventional uplifting type in my main album.

Wonderful photography and a big fav-great focus and contrasts in the vitality and colourful beauty of the butterfly flitting about without a care in the world in comparison to the grey ruffled sadness of the dead gull lying in the sands . An image of joy and sadness rolled into one !
