My daughter and daughter-in-law and I abandoned the men, the children and the dogs and took a drive to Skelwith Bridge. We had a nice breakfast, spent far too much in the gorgeous shop there, then went for a short walk along the River Brathay to see the lovely waterfall. Perfect day.
