Sunday Afternoon Singer by vignouse

Sunday Afternoon Singer

The singer in the band - in fact the whole band - at a local village Valentine's Ball this afternoon. Taken from several metres away, by the light of fluorescent strip lights mixed with tungsten and daylight. This was an exercise to see what can be done when the constraints of mixed lighting are removed by working in B&W.
Fabulous portrait

I like the shades and contrasts created by the b&w.

@cortens And it's cropped to about a sixth of the original image as well Julie - that's the benefit of a full-frame sensor for you.

Fantastic portrait. I never thought of dealing with lousy lighting by going b&w. I will be keeping that in mind.
