I couldn't resist posting this as a fun extra shot for today. Mitzi's current favourite toy is this hoop which she's taken to wearing around her body like a necklace (a 'bodylace'?) so that we can't easily take it from her. Here, she's decided to rearrange the rocks on the back terrace... again.
She looks like she's having lots of fun. I love what she's up to but also all the fabulous textures in the image as well as the wonderful angle on the sky. I'm going to show just what a novice I am and ask did you use a special lens on this? Hope you don't mind
@ceilidh Thanks Margaret - yes I was using a Samyang 8mm semi-rectilinear fish-eye lens. You can often get a clue from the Photo Details panel: I tagged this image as fish-eye and the Exif data gives the focal length as 8mm. I felt that the inherent distortion of the lens added to the fun nature of the shot.
@jocasta Hi Joy - oh yes, she flips it up in the air and then slips her head through the hole as it comes down; she finishes by folding her front legs then rubbing along the ground until the hoop is around her middle.
@jocasta Yes indeed - she takes the rim in her mouth, flicks her head up and lets go, the hoop then turns over in the air just above her head and she sticks her head through it! Unbelievable perhaps... but true nevertheless; she's a cute cookie our Mitzi.
