Ann @olivetreeann and Jan @janiskay are hosting a Pink week to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Jan wrote me - "Perhaps you'd like to join us once in honor of those who you have lost. It's not too late and I'm sure you have something pink around."
So here are some pink flowers in one of our window boxes, 'bloodied but unbowed' in spite of the awful conditions today... which seems as good a metaphor as any for breast cancer survivors.
Beautiful capture supporting the Awareness for Breast Cancer. It's very nice of Ann and Jan to be promoting it. I like the effect given through the wet window.
I was able to take some pink pictures today. When I upload I'll see if I have anything worthy of posting. Your weather looks like what I ran into driving home in the dark. I can only hope my picture will be as wonderful as yours, or nearly so.
@vignouse Thank you so much Richard! I think your metaphor is both beautiful and spot on! I also thought as I looked at the bright color coming through the rain that it is also very much like the survivors- they go through the rain, but their lives and testimonies bring the color of understanding to us. Beautiful shot! And a fav to say thanks!
