I sailed to the UK this afternoon/evening from Caën in Normandy to Portsmouth, Hampshire in order to spend some time with my children and grandchildren who live in the UK.
This young lady - a fellow passenger on the cross-channel ferry - was sat at an open-air deck-table in a chilly wind in order to smoke whilst she checked her mails.
Is Mrs. S along too. Very glad I decided as a teen to spend my money on teen mags. They were very easy to give up. Too many people I know had to or have to give up this habit.
@joansmor No Mrs S has just come back from almost 3 weeks away and now it's my turn while she stays at home to look after the 4 legged members of the family. I smoked 3 packets a day for 25 years but gave up almost 30 years ago.
welcome home for your brief sojurn - love the image - the wooden floor and table help the composition and the colours in her clothes bring the image together
Love the POV and the angles. So busy. It's the lines especially that attract me, but that leather against the wood grain just makes the shot. And she is wearing so much leather. Even her hair looks like leather.
Wicked image. Agreed with the others - this one ends up being all about the wood and the shapes and lines made by it. Wood deck, chair, table, etc with converging/intersecting/parallel lines. Even some curves. Quite cool.
Real eye catcher and FAV. The tones all work so well together and love the wood and lines - so many great lines. Hope you have a great visit with your family.
Ian
Well spotted.
