A little self-indulgence... by vignouse

A little self-indulgence...

...on my part! After almost 6 weeks of using one camera, one fixed lens and posting only B&W Jpegs directly from the camera... I had withdrawal symptoms due to a complete lack of editing practice! This needed a bit of help so I am posting it as a second offering today: it is from the same camera and is still B&W... but it has had a little TLC in post-production. It's actually the same field as featured in my OCOLOY album.

Views nicely on black...
I was wondering how you were getting on with those self-imposed restrictions. This is magnificent..

Your treatment with this scene almost makes the horses look a little like wild ones!

Lovely. You are doing well with your idea of one camera… you do need a break now and again.

Beautifully captured and processed. Fav!!

@soboy5 Thank you Danny, I'm still soldiering on although it isn't getting any easier... yet! It's as much a question of finding suitable subjects for a 35mm view without cropping as anything else. I think it's a useful exercise to do although whether it will be worth continuing for the whole year is yet to be determined I think.

@dide Thank you Dianne - I still posted a 'rules' shot for today... this was a second image.

Nice capture, horses are a subject I work with a lot and last year I found my photography had become dominated by equine photography, which was a driving factor behind doing my 366 this year. Great that you got them with their ears pricked. If you know their owners I can assure you that they'd love a copy of the image.

❤︎ the TLC - I think all digital images need a little bit of TLC - the very nature of digital sensors.

The edit is excellent

Absolutely lovely. I love how the horses are posing, the sky and the surrounding scenery. The composition works so well.
