As requested: St Etienne Chinon 2

This is an edited version of the sooc image I posted in my main 365 album for the first day of my NF-Sooc_September challenge - https://365project.org/vignouse/365/2017-09-01. The original was posted warts and all to demonstrate the care that needs to be taken in framing. I hadn't intended to post an edited version but had a number of requests to do so - in the event, I didn't have a raw file so this is the edited Jpeg which limited what I was able to do with it.
And this is why I say - let me have editing. But kudos to you for sooc

I admire anyone who can produce amazing images 'sooc' but a simple crop does make this image so much more beautiful. You captured a moment in time with your figure and the glow in the arches. Fabulous! fav

A very moving capture.

I didn't even notice the sign in the first shot until I read the comments, because my eyes were drawn to the man and the window. So I guess this is why I often have unwanted stuff in my shots haha. Anyway, love both shots.

@Cherrill Thank you Cherril - it's not actually a crop which would have unbalanced the composition... I simply cloned out the offending shipboard.

Lovely composition

Glad you didn't crop it, the loveliness is in the distance from the man we are, we can see him in silhouette down the aisle in front of us. Brilliant photo. Of course the magnificent stained glass adds it's fair share! I have never been to France, I expect are lots of lovely churches like this. Fave of course.

@happypat Thank you Pat... a crop? No way I had placed the man exactly in the middle of the bottom one-third gridline for maximum dynamic tension. It was whilst concentrating on this that I missed the signboard in the first image.

Integrity widely and deservedly recognised.

Thank you sharing both photos. It's very enlightening to see what other do to edit their photos.

Well I finally found it again. Such an emotional heartfelt photo. I love how the shine on the floor in the center draws the eye fron the man to the alter. The first time I looked I missed the man just entering the pew to the left.. I saw the others but the kneeling man drew my eye away from the other man. My eye was drawn straight from the kneeling man up the aisle to the alter then to the arches where the light from above give a warm glowing warmth the the church. The darken shadowy pews give a feeling of cold as does the shiny floor. What a story I could weave........ Bravo! Fav
