What was your favourite image from March?

April 2nd, 2024
This thread is your opportunity to pat yourself on the back. Please share a favourite image (or two) from your March offerings, and tell us why it stands out for you.

Mine is incredibly easy, because yesterday I had an amazing experience photographing birds of prey. Wee Cecil takes the March crown for me.

I also really enjoyed trying different lighting and perspectives to get this abstract shot.

So tell me, what was yours?

Doing a theme a month long is a challenge. Doing it with one object is a challenge. But such fun, and a collage image to end the month.

I had a glorious week in Cornwall.
This was the view from the kitchen the day we arrived.

My visit to Tintagel was fabulous too.

“ Disapproving looks. Except from the young boy.”

I rarely manage to capture what I see and here I was so very happy with my final image.

Got to be this one, it is hard to see someone you love suffering but also I find it helpful to engage with the emotion through photography.

My favorite for march is this genuine shot in Cotonou. Just going out of a restaurant, that person was waiting in front of this building under construction.

I like this one in large part because of the editing. It was a simple shot but I was able to edit it in a way that I felt brought out the calm serene feeling I was trying to highlight in the image.

I knew just what I wanted to capture for Week 13 of the 52 Week Challenge of 'Nature' but it took me almost two weeks to get it. Too much snow, birds not cooperating, weather not good, etc.
But I did finally get the shot I wanted. Tenacity is a good thing!

Also this one 'cuz it will be a memory shot for the rest of my life.
