i love this thread every month...it lets me take a minute to look back and reflect on where i was and what I did all month. :)
this was my favorite this month....
I think it was my favorite because 1) it's my daughter and she's amazing and beautiful, and 2) it is what I would consider my favorite processing of the month as well. this is the original:
@pwallis thanks :) I think your layers of mountains was my favorite of yours for January, too (although you had a number of exceptionally stunning shots this month!)
@sdpace I just saw the original!!! Holy cow! I remember commenting on yours that I was going to try something similar with Pickle, and I did, it 's on my laptop right now, but I couldnt' get those lovely tones like yours. Still, it ain't bad. I just didn't get around to posting yet.
@sdpace I think Stacy and I are thinking on similar wavelengths for this past week and month. I knew what she would post for this thread and I'm pretty sure she'll know that I'll post this shot of my wife playing her flute.
I chose this one because it is a glimpse into my life and it was one of the few that I knew was awesome as soon as I clicked. Just caught it at the right moment.
This was a happy accident that I fell in love with. I've been wanting to play around with close up eye shots, but my daughter doesn't know how to sit still anymore. My husband finally posed for pictures after a year of me asking. =)
So many different styles, such creativity. One of the reasons I enjoy 365 is because it allows me to see the world through other people's eye ... some beautiful images above! Here is mine ... Jan was an experimentation month for me!
@cincity Haven't seen a reply to your problem of not being able to post your photo. Just go to the photo you want to include here and look for a box labeled "Share" on the lower right. Copy all the text in that box and paste it here. We'll be looking for it!
It would be this self portrait with my husband. I am so seldom in front of the camera and we had such a lovely evening. This one is my best memory of January, which was a delightful month of adventures.
It's like trying to pick my favorite child...not that they are all wonderful but they each have a special meaning to me...so here's one that I really liked today!!
Had a really good month, hard to choose. This one I think, because it's different from what I normally do and when i was done editing I sat back and said....shit, look what I just did!! lol
This was a hard month for me to choose there were several I want to show: one for fun, one for content, one for composition, one for processing - but since it can only be one:
I can never decide these things...like this because it isn't my usual...the horses were being rowed/trained at the beach, this one refused to go in. They ended up trying to push it (in my alt. album) hilarious!
My mother moved in with us in August. My daughter surprised us by wanting a shirt like Nana's, and then wanting to dress exactly like Nana. The delight here is what I like the most from January.
It is always hard to pick just one! I think I will go with this one, I was really pleased with how it turned out and I like its colours and simplicity.
@moonwoman17
Go to the pic you want to upload, look on the right, where exif info etc is, at the bottom is a box with a code in, it says 'share'. Copy that code and paste in the reply box here - and don't worry, lots of people (me) have had to ask!
BTW the picture only shows after you 'post reply'.
January was a good start. This image is one of my fav. I'm going to go back to post and see if I can remove a few distracting elements (ie. garbage cans and the parking ticket dispenser).
This is my favorite for January because the image is SOOC and it was the first time i thought carefully about which settings to use on my camera to give me an intersting effect. This is my first DSLR and i've only had it for less than a month so it is really exciting experimenting with it.

One month down...

The Caption means as much as the photo, in my opinion.
@jml0306
this is mine! :)
And this is mine...
Silly but it has been a laugh to photo "Smiley"
on reflection I like this more than I thought
I'd have to go with this one.
but this is my favourite for humour and because I planned it whilst sat at work and could hardly wait til tea time to be able to photograph it.

So... This is the one I think I like best, after that one :D
Not because of the picture quality, but because of the message.
I love a good spider when I happen upon them!

My wife on Australia Day :)
Tough decision, but somehow this screams "favorite" to me

This is my favorite I think. It was hard to choose, but this one just kind of screamed "life"
(Uh, I am not sure how to directly insert a photo into a reply...)
