Wow! Thank you so much everyone for so many wonderful entries. There were 68 in total and you really have made my job almost impossible. I initially picked 13 entries for further consideration and would still have happily included a whole bunch more. These 13 are now whittled down to six on which I am asking you to vote. They are as follows:
Vote 1 for: Better Together by Catherine Otley
Chosen for its immediate impact and the way the imposing tall trees seem to each have taken on a character.
Vote 2 for: Trees by Diana Ludwigs
Chosen for the way the processing and tones bring out so much texture and character in the trees and the added twist and amusement of the Picasso style face in the front tree
Vote 3 for Tree of Light by Richard Brown
For a great composition and the wonderful patterns of the tree in silhouette and that stunning sunflare.
Vote 4 for Ginkgo b&w by Caterina
For its luxurious feel and the richness of the foliage which is beautifully contrasted against the strong dark branches.
Vote 5 for Bark by David
I had a hard time choosing just one of David's multiple entries, but in the end this fascinating presentation of the bark of a tree with its many concentric circles, and reminiscent of a pen and ink drawing.
Vote 6 for Paimpont by 2018: Day 254 - Treescape by Richard Sayer
A presentation of delightful horizontal layers, with the trees taking centre stage working so successfully as an overall composition but with each tree showing enough detail and character to pause and view.
I love them all...so different and creative viewpoints.
