I'm not dressed yet. I should have gone out for an all day, sunrise to sunset, ruins photography day (culminating with burning wire wool spinning!). But the thought of carrying my camera, never mind my rucksack and tripod, all day long and clambering over ruins and fileds made me wince, so I stayed home. I am gutted to miss out on this.
These flowers are growing quite happily in my pots, there's this pink, white and a glorious clashing red, all together in the one pot.
Impressive POV, particularly given your ‘out of service' circumstances. You have my sympathy. As a student I had a bad trampoline fall and after much ineffective physio treatment, spent 3 weeks hospitalised, in traction, with bed raised. Thereafter several weeks in plaster cast - boobs to bottom. I'm recounting this to encourage so you to take SERIOUS care of your back.
Sorry you're not feeling up to snuff! But you managed to pull off a positively glowing shot of a different kind- no wire and fire, just some lovely back-lighting.
Hope your back will soon be back to normal Jackie, it is not a very pleasant situation at all. I've had issues for the last 30 years! Lovely shot with a great pov and bokeh.
@ludwigsdiana It is easing a lot thank you, just couldn't contemplate carrying all thet gear! You know me, love a bit of bokey!! @olivetreeann The pot is standing on a high pedistal, no bending!! But I like playing with fire!! @jacqbb but I got bored, so we went out!!! Thank you @s4sayer Margo thank you for your advice, this all stems from when a child landed on my head in a swimming pool 20 years ago!! I try to take care - hence not going out for the day. Hope you are fully recovered?? @joansmor I will (and did when went out to meet your challenge!) @merrelyn I love the bokeh I get on my nf-50mm!!
Ooh! Child landing on your head, not good! Am sure you know your limits and practise prudence when appropriate. I freely admit that I'm far less daredevil than I used to be. Yes, fully recovered for all intents and purposes recovered...for all intents and purposes. I try to be careful...lifting, bending etc.stretching and do floor exercises every morning before I get in the shower, walk lots with Mitzi, other dogs + their owners. No complaints ;-)
Lovely shot. Ouch sorry to hear about your back and that you had to miss the photo day. My David has a sore back at the moment too and I just read that @casablanca has problems with her back too, what on earth have you all been up to. I think you all need oiling.
sorry to hear you are indisposed and you missed some fun. but remember your health comes first. there will always be another day for photographic fun. hang in there, kiddo. fabulous bokeh. aces!
