Horses are considered wildlife? Do they just roam wherever they want to? A terrific photo of them and glad to hear they have the right of way.

The horses belong to verderers and commoners, with rights dating back back centuries. They're in the New Forest, which was used after 1066 William Conquerer's successful invasion. More information here if you're interested!

Very interesting, Jackie! I never understood the term commoners before and now have a little better understanding of it.

Lovely shot and great title Jackie. I wondered if they were in the New Forest. We had horses wanting to share our picnic when we visited in 2005.
