The front window of Gaye's house is taken up with a doll's house filled with an eclectic, and eccentric, collection of bits and bobs. There is a sign on the window to encourage people to look in and take photographs. Gaye came out and talked to us, then she invited us into her home and told all about her life.
She and husband moved into their cottage three years ago, her husband came out of retirement to be the priest at the alms house down the road.
Gaye was reluctant to have her portrait taken, which surprised me as she told us so much about her life and family!!

The blue door indicates the cottage belongs to The Cathedral, she says the rent is extortionate, and they're not allowed to remove fixtures and fittings, such as the turtle head and shells!!
