Phil is a baker and today he was cooking in an 18th century bread oven that was still being used in the Victorian era.
he was so enthusiatic, telling us all about the how the faggots that are burned are collected from the museum's grounds, how he spreds the ashes and uses them to boil a kettle or cook jacket potatoes, so nothing is wasted.
Today he made rolls, fruit rolls and as the oven colled biscuits. The fruit bread, ten minutes after being out of the oven was scrummy!
