Colin

Colin is a marine artist for 30 or so years, he was visiting the Standing With Giants memorial because of the naval links and he has been commisioned to paint specific ships that were sunk in the Falklands War.

I asked how he got awarded commisions and he told me mainly on the strength of his reputation, he is a highly regarded and respected marine artist. He undertakes private commisions to illustrate book jackets, journals and this leads to more commisions.

Colin has had to close his studio, the landlords upped the rent and rates. Much of the studio was filled with memorabila as well as art materials, and he's working from home.

A lovely gentleman to talk to and if you would like to see some of his work he has a website . I have sent Colin the photos I took and he's asked to put them onto his FaceAche page.
It was so interesting to hear Colin’s story I am so pleased that you chose this one with him wearing his cap. Interesting link showing that Colin is such an accomplished artist.
