The National Trust are reinstating the woodland of Northwood on the Slindon Estate. The oak trees were chopped down during WW1 and during WW2 land was used for agriculture. The land was left to the NT and they are undertaking their largest re-wooding to date.
Trees are being propogated from seed, the nursery is protected by a deer and rabbit-proof fence and in a few generations small patches of woods will all be one big woodland.
Afraid this is another one for Ross's theme. I've really loved this week's topic Ross and enjoyed playing with camera's settings to get the greens and light 'just right'
