We organise a charity quiz each year and the prizes are totally underwhelming (I spent £3.00 this year). For the £5 entry fee they get absolutley nothing; they have to provide their own food, nibbles, crockery, cutlery and rubbish bag! Even the raffle prize is simple, it's half the raffle ticket takings (and only once has the winner not donated their winnings back!)
There are only two rules, no use of phones and don't argue with us! We hope to raise about £400 for the local children's hospices.
Well...you certainly pushed the prize boat out.....last quiz we did we spent a whole pound on an 'Etruscian' vase for the winner.....although we were good and did provide a couple slices of pizza for their £5....everything else they had to bring :)
That is a model worth remembering - quite some effort to organize but a fun night on the night and so casual - people must love it. A great way to raise money for a charity. Your image summarizes the organization required perfectly. :)
I was going to tell you good luck but have delayed my commenting for so long that I see you have raised ove £400! Good on you. Love the photo that shows the prep work too
