Yesterday, with our relatively small circle of 365 friends, we lingered long past lunchtime, waited until all others had long gone, and packed up to leave at 4PM. As we exited, a restaurant manager was at the door with boxes of left-over wedding cake, the wedding having taken place out on the lawn below. It was an amazing carrot cake with slathered cream cheese frosting, the pieces larger than pictured here (as I remembered to snap the photo before the evidence was gone!)
So, it begs the question, "What did YOU have for breakfast this morning"?
That looks yummy! How great you had the chance to bring home Wedding cake. Beats my simple old smoothie for breakfast. I especially like the cute "Hawaiian" couple kissing. ;)
Great capture! I'm also eating wedding cake left over, but not for breakfast! Can't even begin to explain what is in it, but it is decadent, 7 layers and weighed 12 kilos!! Photo will come soon :)
Ooohhhh, I love carrot cake and this looks so moist and heavenly... had some on my birthday in February. I don't make it because I would eat the whole cake!
Such a sweet capture...and what a delicious capture. Anita said she enjoyed your get together so much. I am hoping next time we are down there that I might be able to join you all. Thank you for the nice compliments on my Iris photo and the fav
This was indeed an absolutely delicious cake, and it is now gone!! It was the perfect ending to that delightful afternoon that I spent with this very group of very special people
@panthora that wonderful ending lasted through two breakfasts... you know...that and the cappuccino... (but hey, you're a healthy eater...I noticed that... at least one of us should be :)
@pyrrhula@dailypix How fun that you two favourites of mine happened to notice the little kissing folk! A friend in Hawaii sent me those one year, and, at first I wasn't all that taken with them. But they've grown to become one of my favourite additions to a photo! Their mouths are magnets, so they seldom part!
