At the end of a wonderful day further south in Ensenada, we came back to the Rosarito beach at sunset. I began to photograph these young people silhouetted there, and one of the group asked if he might see what I was getting. We struck up a lovely conversation and learned these are students from the University of Michigan, volunteering a week in Mexico under the banner of the Christian group, "World Vision". A few days later, when I was in the hospital, Ken and my friends sent them all the pictures I took of them. Personally, I was very happy with the outcome and hope they were as well!
To all of you who've left me comments, thank you immensely. I'm home, but it's a slow go for the present. Saw one orthopedist today about my foot...good prognosis. See another tomorrow about my back, my most painful body part! Am getting lots of rest and many friends dropping in, which I really enjoy. Can't wait to be an active member of the community here again. Hugs & Love to you all ♥
* World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, we serve alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people.
Stunning capture, and I love the sunset and the silhouettes.... the entire thing. How are you doing with confinement? It's a pill, isn't it. I'll check out our WAP passes and get them sent to you... Hope your family can use them. FAV
@aglennc When you said, "It's a pill. isn't it", my thought was, "Without that pill, it would be wretched!" Yes, I hate having to be waited on; Ken's always spoiled me, but this is beyond the pale. I wouldn't enjoy being a Queen at all!!!
This is just fabulous. Ticks all the boxes. I'm glad to hear that you are home. I hope the doctors can help you get better soon. Not pleasant to be reliant on others. Sending you mountains of positive healing energy.
@salza Thank you so much, Sally! I may look through some photo and tick some faves without comment eventually...and you KNOW that's not quite my style, but I don't want you all to think I'm ignoring anyone! I'm missing "normal"!
Stunning capture :) So worthy for world vision too :) Sorry to hear about your troubles. i 've come across this photo first so need to catch up :) Hopefully you are up and about soon. Fa
So good to see your lovey post and enjoy your story. Fav
You are on a hard road, and don't know how long it is. Wishing you strength and hope you can take "one day at a time" approach.
Stunning capture Louise - love it!! Huge Fav!! So pleased you are at home now but it sounds like you still have a long haul back to complete recovery!! You are so lucky that Ken spoils you anyway so I am sure he doesn't mind this extra bit for you!! Sending you lots of positive healing vibes - I hope you soon start to see an improvement!!
Oh gosh, this is just beautiful! I just saw it on the trending page in a very brief look at it -- and yours jumped out. It's a gorgeous representation of the organization you support. And I very much hope that your next steps re getting better are smooth ones.
This one is just outstanding Louise, a spectacular capture! So glad to hear you are coming along. I was wondering about you the other day. Take it easy and listen to the doctor.
You ALL deserve better than this from me since I'm offering so little in return at the present. Thank you, thank you. Saw the 2nd ortho about my back today, and it's a bit of a mess, but not irreparable he thinks. Will be taking a new muscle relaxer that he says will make me more tired, but to get the rest. I also have a physical therapy regime that I'll do at home with visiting PT's. I'm taking photos as I can, but the subject matter is limited... will work on the vacation photos and put some up as time permits...in effect this is my photo journal, and I want to have it somewhat complete, so bear with me! Hugs to you all! xo
Wow!! FAV what a gorgeus shot!!
Hope u get better soon and that you can give us good news :) I'm sure that you will get better and keep rocking here!! :)
@petaqui How sweet you are to drop by; it's always a pleasure to see you! I'm a very positive person, so with a little medicinal assistance to see me through this, I'll be back out there soon to enjoy the world around me! God willing, I have time left to visit Spain another time or two, so this "inconvenience" will hopefully get out of my way soon! :)
Oh my what an absolutely gorgeous picture! I'm positive those young people would have loved copies of the pictures you took. Our bodies take time to heal but I'm glad to hear things are not irreparable. Physio and rest do help. I put a small envelope in the mail for you today should arrive next week, it's just to show we are thinking of and praying for you. 😘
Sorry to hear about your foot and back, get well soon Louise.

Good to hear positives on your health front, Louise.
