What a Fortuitous Year to be a Cubbie on the T-Ball Team!
For not being a big sport fan, and considering how swept up I was in this World Series, I can only imagine the True Fan's excitement that filled the air last night!!!
Here's my little attempt at saying, "Yea Cubs!" (and I wish I'd used some different colour effects, but too late; it stands!) Ken, Pam and I came across that bear on a day we went exploring out on Indian Point. I was hopeful I might incorporate it in some manner one day! And those are photos I took of my grandsons while we were visiting them on a play day.back in April.
Dylan (in typical Dylan fashion): Delightedly Happy
Ashton (in typical Ashton fashion with 6-y-o bravado): Yah! You Rock, Cubs!
You are so clever Louise!! I just love this!! Your two gorgeous grandsons kitted out in Cubs colours. I am so thrilled for the Cubs - this from their newest fan from across the pond!! I had such a wonderful afternoon at Wriggly Field with Taffy and Jim @taffy with my introduction to baseball.Congatulations to the Cubs and all their diehard fans!! Fav for your fantastic processing!!
@jamibann So happy to have some "play time"! Thanks!
@pamknowler and YOU...what a year to discover baseball...and in Chicago at that!!! Fortuitous indeed! I'd say that, as a visitor here and Chicago, "You knocked it out of the Ball Park!" and as Ashton might say, "You Rock, Pam!" (Thanks! Play time, you know...)
@pyrrhula Ashton (Rt) was on the Cubs Team, and others were on different major league teams with the respective uniforms. Having Chicago origins ounselves, we were happy to have this linkage! And now, more so that the Cubs won the World Series!
I know virtually nothing about the World Series, but it did get a little coverage here. So good to see the Cubs break their long drought. The team that won our AFL comp this year hadn't won a premiership since 1954 and I think they're still celebrating this year's September win out in Footscray.
@golftragic Doesn't everyone love to see a well-loved but struggling team rise to the top! They take a bit of each of us up there with them, and that's why I think we all love it so!
Our walls were rocking during game 7! So wanted the Cubs to win...... and I am a baseball fan. John would say fanatic. Have been since I was about 8 or 9 when I started going to to Los Angeles and Hollywood for their PCL games.

I had the bits and pieces in past photos (my "stock footage" as I call it!) and I knew I had to do something! Thanks for liking it : )
