I hope you Americans had a marvelous holiday! Here in Canada, we heard a German Air Force Military Band give a performance at noon, and later we watched the wonderful Celebration of American History and our Military with great music from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It was truly uplifting and a thrill to see the turn-out!
I'd photographed an old flag in an Historic museum this summer, and used it to inspire some varied art work. My grandsons lent their ideas by commandeering the mouse and made some creative designs as well!
One day I'll commandeer my own life again, but "busy with family" is a nice way to spend the summer!

I love this! We really enjoyed the salute to America, loved everything about it. The Blue Angels over the Washington Monument brought tears to my eyes. I saw them in San Francisco, flying under the Golden Gate, another memorable performance. I know you are loving Canada and your family! @stray_shooter I wondered if you lived close to the quake site. Oh my, so sorry!
