"Bright Yellow!...Quite Yellow!" by Weezilou

"Bright Yellow!...Quite Yellow!"

My Pincushion Plant has blossoms again and this is the first and the largest as it opens, 4" across! While most flower petals are delicate, I love this because as I touch it, it feels strong and solid, bringing such a different variety to the garden. And that color! What a bright spot it lends in the yard!
A beautiful pincushion.

@johnfalconer I always thought this was an Australian flower, so probably akin. I also see Diana posting them from S Africa. I'm just happy if I can keep it surviving here in So Cal! ... Looked yours up, and this doesn't have the distinct petals at its base, and the leaves are different...so, Pincushion...

@brigette There aren't enough of them on the one bush, so I leave them to enjoy when we're (often) out and enjoying the backyard!
