Most of the year I live in the Southern California suburbs where we can always count on a beautiful day, but I lack inspiration there when I go out with my camera. In part it's because I'd have to drive a fair distance (in traffic) to reach places I think are picturesque. In summer, we live in a small fishing village (albeit a tourist destination) where I have only to look up from my computer to see the horse carriages passing by. The picture may look "blurred" or distorted, but that's the poured glass in our old windows. The house was built in 1888. The carriage stops at the corner and the driver tells his passengers to look over at the purple house with an example of "The Lunenburg Bump", an architectural feature particular to this town. We can go into our attic and look down to the harbor where in the past, women could watch for their husband's ships to come into port. I can't begin to tell you how much I love living in the historic district with such a colorful past!
@digitalrn I'm sorry I didn't catch your question the first time you asked, Rick...oversight on my part. Nova Scotia is a peninsula off the coast of Maine, and we're on the east coast, so Ken tells me we're about a 16 hr drive from Niagra Falls. Is that near you? We visited once and it was simply phenomenal!
And they stop and look at the purple house and say....And Louise and Ken live there..and they all nod knowingly! lol @chard hahah great comment Richard!
