At the request of -Andrea- (colorfade) in Australia, I'm posting a beach photo. Today we drove up the Lighthouse Route along the coast from Lunenburg to Halifax, and ever-patient Ken stopped every time I wanted a photo. The sun was toasty and every little stretch of sand was filled with people, even though it was a Friday. We drove into the village of Hubbards and followed the road to a beach, the parking lot looking for all the world like California on a summer day! On a previous summer day, we had the beach completely to ourselves, so I don't know what made this day so different. From kids jumping off the platform to building sandcastles and getting a tan, and me, taking pictures of it all, there was something for everyone!
Oh thank you Louise! I love seeing how different beaches are from country to country and even different regions within the same country. Sounds like its definitely a popular spot!...you and ken sure are living the good life ;)
It appears to be a perfect weather day for fun at the beach! The tree-lined shore is so different from the beach landscape I'm accustomed to along the Carolina coast ~ beautiful!
@chard@seattle It's not as cold as you might think...the air temp hovered around 90 degrees! Depends on how deep the beach is..some are quite pleasant when the sun's beating down...warmer than southern California ! The Gulf Stream isn't far off shore here on the east coast...
