Sunday Afternoon at the Lunenburg Bandstand by Weezilou

Sunday Afternoon at the Lunenburg Bandstand

We're so blessed with local talent, and if you love music as much as I do, you might begin to imagine how happy my summers are! Todays singer, from nearby Mahone Bay, is Jennah Barry. She has a slightly raspy, whispery voice that has me cherishing every note she sings. I was a bit off center to make a better video tape, but I found this that's a wonderful song of hers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVB4HkZjLA0 called Slow Dance. If you like that and wish to see what I recorded, I think her voice blends beautifully with Claire who sang with her today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QA34ioOy3g The song is Birds and Ships by Woody Guthrie; I posted the words on Youtube.

Sunny Sundays...music and sweet voices...seeing old friends and meeting new ones.... Life is very very good!

I love her voice. Both recordings were a good listen. Thanks for introducing her to us. I was able to hear her music also on her myspace page. I too love to hear new talent in the open air of the city.

@Weezilou I hope we can visit one day. That would be so much fun! Our first big post retirement trip is Hawaii in October. After that, we'll see how the money holds out. Haha
