Just as the wind sways a flower as you try to focus, I was testing the limits of my camera when the dove splayed her tail feathers and I missed the focus. But it is centered, isn't a crop, and it was the last thing that caught the afternoon's golden light from my back yard...so I said to myself, "Oh go with it!" So there you have it :)
Lovely capture Louise - beautiful tail feathers and lovely light!! You would think these birds would stay still and pose properly when you are trying to get a shot!! LOL!!
Louise, I have a favor to ask...I'm running the new ETSOOI-35 challenge and will choose the finalists before I leave on Sunday for Japan. While there, I'm supposed to have internet, but I want to put a backup in place, just in case I can't get on to count votes and post the winner. Voting is announced for Sunday - Tuesday, with the winner to be announced by the end of the day on the 12th. I'm planning to see it through, but if it is the 13th and I haven't posted the winner, would you be willing to count up the votes and post in my place? If you'd prefer not to be in this position, just let me know -- and I'm optimistic that I will be able to see it through. I just want to be safe...just in case.
