The plants in front of my daughter's home were a gold-mine of butterfly photos! This little guy, perhaps not the most beautiful of the lot, but a charmer as he sat drinking at the bar.
My only question: WHERE does he retract that tongue when he's through???
@kwiksilver Yes, I just walked around the shrubs getting my pictures. I did find, this time, I had better luck not trying to get too close, but to zoom in from a little distance. I think that's why the DOF turned out well in all my photos, too. @parisouailleurs Thanks for dropping by. That background color is what-was-the green grass. There's water rationing here because they've been without rain for so long and a lot of things are drying up.
