The sunset was something of a fizzle as it dropped behind that cloud bank, but I was hoping to bring you something other than another tombstone! This is a fish shack that is on the National Registry of Historic Places! Around here it's instantly recognizable...high tide...low tide...sunset or with the Bluenose sailing past...I've got them all. (The ripples are caused by the tide moving back in.) A friend who lives about two doors from this spot drove by and I called back, "Can't talk now!" I must drop her a note and apologize for being rude! We did take a photo class together, so I know she understands the expediency of getting those sunset shots ASAP and without distraction!
I took this yesterday when I ran out to catch the sunset... It was almost two hours later that I had reflections on water, sunset, a seagull eating a fish almost as large as his body (and a grisly scene it was!), the moon rise, horses silhouetted on a hillside and Lunenburg at twilight from a hilltop. *Today was gray* but I got the birds. I'm using some of yesterday's stash now for awhile!
Beautiful scene....I think all those shots you were talking about should keep you busy for a while, and grace the pages of your albums! It must be getting pretty cold out there this far north! I think it is time for you to head down to Cali! :-))
@panthora Back home for Christmas... and in January I want to sit on one of your red-sunset beaches...the rh\\thought of the color alone warms me up! (And yes, the temps are dropping...)
@quietpurplehaze OMG! I wasn't even struck by how that might appear, as it's orange in the daylight and a marker for a boat to tie up! (No, it's no longer swimming weather!) Thanks, Hazel, for liking this scene!
