This façade from the Chicago Stock Exchange Building is clearly artistic enough to stand on the grounds of the Art Institute to be admired for generations to come. I loved that I could line up the 57-story Blue Cross-Blue Shield Building that was completed one hundred years later in 1997. There's something to love about all of it, and in this case that I could so easily time travel...

What a great idea to contrast the two this way, and I love the clarity of the shot! I remember the incredible variety of architectural styles in Chicago...truly amazing. Glad you had such a great time there, Louise! :-)
