School Day October 9, 1839

I've just commented on the beautiful light Pam captured in her interior photos at Ross Farm. While shooting with her was an excellent learning curve, I did like the natural light I was capturing from the windows in an otherwise dark room. The year of note was from a diary page written on the blackboard in this classroom. It mentioned the fine weather and that the "the brig was launched off the stocks to the cheers of the Lunenburg population" Further, it mentioned that the ship was christened "The Frederica" after "...old Mrs Zwicker who was on board when she went off."

This wonderful historical farm property is a treasure of photo opportunities! Do check Pam's for more photos of our visit!
I love the atmosphere in your image Louise. I have just checked my shot as I was standing beside you for this shot and my image is much lighter - difference I had an ISO setting of 1600. I love how we can both take the same image and get such a different feeling to the shot.

Light from the windows is the best but you have to capture what is inside too and you have here!
