...and there they were! To those who don't live here, that range in the foreground probably looks like the mountains, but we know the really tall ones (7000-8000') are behind and that's where the clouds covered it all. All along that 2 hr drive we only got glimpses like this, and more cloud cover, but the big reveal is coming!
If you watch the Rose Parade from Pasadena on New Year's Day, you just may get to see it all and hear the rave reviews! Almost without exception January 1st is a gorgeous day...let's see if I'll be any good at predicting it!
Wow what a stunning view!! Happy Christmas Louise and to Ken and all your family too!! Hope they are all well now and that you have a wonderful day together!! Big Christmas hugs!!
Glorious! We've had a far better year than we did in our el nino year. Record rain in soCal yesterday. Thank you for sharing Louise - I always loved when the hills would get snow and haven't seen that in a long time!
I agree that el Nino was a bit of a bust! I heard the term la nina relating to this year, but I have no idea (yet) what that's supposed to mean! We live in OC, so I'm not familiar with La Crescenta's weather. It seems to be staying cool, and that looked like a pretty good snow; a good start for this year's ski season! Maybe I'll have something to report after our drive home tomorrow!
La Nina is the opposite of El Nino Louise. Related to the Southern Oscillation Index and sea temperatures in certain places. It should mean more rain, catch is whether or not that 'more rain' falls where you want it to.
