We stepped in to the house and this bouquet was on the table to greet us. Did I mention how nice the people are here?! (Our friend, Mike, had picked us up at the airport and drove us home. I usually take his picture as the start of the season...)
So good to be back and can't wait to see everyone!
@carlasmith Just went out front to photograph the rising moon, and when I turned around, I saw a bag hanging on the front door. Inside were freshly-made scones by a friend a couple blocks down the street...and she thanked us for bringing the sunshine! Yah...you'd like it here!
@elatedpixie@littleconnie@golftragic@jamibann@louannwarren@novab@merrelyn@joansmor@seattlite@gaylewood@pyrrhula@koalagardens You're all the kind and friendly people I'd also love for neighbors! (Must start spelling it, "neighbours" as the proper Canadians do!) Thanks for the lovely notes and our delight in being back! Besides the note I wrote to Carla, just above, we ere invited to tea with our Australian friend who moved here when we did. You Assies will appreciate that (as she does every year), she brought me a tube of Arnotts chocolate mint cookies! Amazing people... Amazing place!
@jamibann
I fully understand what you're saying! I love my friends, in CA but many have yet to finesse the nuances...and I confess I learned much of what I know now after coming here! Just cultural differences, I think...
