Only a couple of hours ago I wondered what I might possibly upload tonight! At that time, all I had was the ducks that were here this morning. Since I'd spent a good part of the day scanning old photos and letters, I went with the old photo of the peacock in our yard. http://365project.org/Weezilou/album-excess/2016-01-14 And along came the raccoon and I had my ace-in-the-hole for a photo today. http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2016-01-14 But with all that text...and those textures...it was time to *play*! I love altering photos! It's so reminiscent of the 2-dimensional art I used to do with pen and paper. http://365project.org/Weezilou/flashback/2016-01-13 I especially enjoy using elusive words in text that holds your eye as you try to read what it says.
If you haven't already done so, give layers a try; there's really no way to do it wrong!
I just love the browns in this one and yes the writing is intriguing. I have a rubber stamp that produces this effect when I am making cards or scrapbook pages.
@cruiser Ahhh...we've discussed those pesky rubber stamps in the past! Now that I'm capable of getting any texture and image I'd like, I wonder what I might do with umpteen thousand stamps.... And to think when I bought them I was so delighted they would last a lifetime! (My handle in the rubberstamp groups of yesteryear was "Stampoverload"... That just about said it all. Can you say compulsion?!
@cruiser oh...and I have *those*, too, filling all the other cupboards and drawers! It feels like Christmas every time I go in search of something and I begin unearthing "stuff"!...*Really Good* stuff! Thanks for sharing and understanding!!!
Oh, damfino doesn't drive so Joy is bringing her tomorrow Her husband works Saturday so couldn't come and/or bring her. Looks like we have a good group!
