Flowers in a Glass Vase

Made this up as I went along, lost the link to original - does it show??

Sat in the garden daubing, drank the rince water in error and have mislaid camera lens cap somewhere in the house.

Who needs to copy the original when you can come up with this. I really get the sense of a glass vase @30pics4jackiesdiamond

@30pics4jackiesdiamond great! By the flowers, i couldn't tell who the author was, but scrolling down to the vase, i could swear it was you. I just love the glass vase!!!! You could have used a different background, but I'll close my eyes on that because you have that great wood texture on the table.
And the roses, are very well done. I especially love the big red one. Actually i like all three red ones. Maybe in reality the orange are more visible as well and i bet they are equally fine done.
But that vase.... that is amazing. Glad you lost the link to the original.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond at least you didn’t drink the vase water! This is very warm and inviting compared to the original. You have done an excellent job of showing the layers in the flowers. You have also done a terrific job with the vase

@summerfield Many thanks Vikki! High praise indeed. Here's wot I done! Paint background then use white for outline and highlights of vase then add details of flowers and stems and with the same colours speckle to show some refraction and reflection. I'm sure there is a better way but that's what I did today!
