glasswing butterfly

i was prepping my canvas for the diana beach huts when i saw jacqueline's butterfly painting. when i clicked on the link, i was disappointed that it was in watercolour. but i thought why not try it so watercolour was taken out of its plastic wrapping. i had to watch just half of the video as my brain couldn't process what she was saying and the only thing i understood was wet on wet. in any case, i made the outline of a butterfly from a previous sketch and just dove in with the colouring. the thing i like with using watercolour is that i can wash off any mistake, as long as the thing is still wet. but i think i will stick with acrylics.

must watch more butterfly painting videos in future.

@summerfield
I've always had a hankering to master water colour! Very simple and wet on wet as you say.

For someone who seems a little reluctant to use watercolours this is amassing.

Wow! That's amazing. Are you sure you don't secretly paint in watercolour?
Congratulations!

@summerfield so pretty. You have inspired me to haul out my watercolour paints and to just get over my fear of them.
